William Harris - Chairman

William Harris has been Chairman of Gemma International since 2007. He acts in a similar capacity for three other companies. He was Chief Executive of Gullane Entertainment plc until 2002. He helped grow the business from a six-person, £400k turnover business into a London Stock Exchange listed company with a turnover in excess of £50m, 150 employees and offices in the UK, US, Canada and Japan. William qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in 1981. He has a strong international background, having spent a significant proportion of his business life working in North America.

David Wesson - Chief Executive

David Wesson has over 15 years experience in retail, in the Entertainment sector at Virgin Megastores, where he was Trading Director and as Commercial Director in the Greetings sector. David has a wealth of expertise of great product innovation, commercial execution, supply chain and global sourcing. During his career he has worked both in the UK and the Far East. David qualified as a Chartered Accounted with Arthur Anderson. David champions the best customer service, excellence in product, teamwork, quality and value in everything we do.

Amanda Parkin - Product Director

Amanda Parkin is a co-owner of Gemma International and joined the Company in 1989 after graduating and working within the field of Market Research. In 2002 to 2010 Amanda succeeded her Father and was promoted to the position of Managing Director. Amanda was instrumental in the businesses growth across both its Product and Customer base during this period including development of their Party favour and tableware business. Amanda is now focused on continuing to grow the Company’s product portfolio, delivering exciting new product and creative initiatives for the Company.

Tim Rudd-Clarke - Licensing Director

Tim Rudd-Clarke is co-owner of Gemma, and has over 20 years greetings experience and a wealth of licensing knowledge. He has been with Gemma International since its launch in 1984 and has a truly thorough understanding of the greetings market and the launching of new licences to market. Tim has a talent for spotting potential best sellers which over the years have included Pokémon, Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, Teletubbies, Bratz, Peppa Pig and, most recently, Ben 10 and Hello Kitty!
